About
Built by someone who's in it.
I'm 57. I didn't start Seasoned.Work because I read a report about the aging workforce and saw a market opportunity. I started it because I am the aging workforce, and I know exactly how broken the system is from the inside.
The background
Twenty years in contingent workforce. Staffing operations, workforce program design, M&A advisory. I've touched every layer of this industry.
I originated the Certified Contingent Workforce Professional credential at Staffing Industry Analysts. Eleven years there. Built the certification that became the standard for how companies think about managing non-employee labor.
I've sat across the table from every buyer, supplier, and platform in this space. I know how the plumbing works. And I know where it's broken.
Why this, why now
I kept running into the same problem from different angles. The infrastructure is remarkably good at moving people through pipelines quickly. Remarkably bad at recognizing value that only accumulates with time.
I see that gap in every professional over 50 who knows they've got more to give but can't find a system designed to help them give it.
That's not a social problem. It's a design flaw. Design flaws get fixed by people who understand the system well enough to rebuild the parts that don't work.
Defiant Solutions
Seasoned.Work is a Defiant Solutions venture. The name isn't accidental.
We're defiant about the idea that experience is a liability, that the second half of a career is a wind-down, that the best way to compete is to hire cheap and replace often.
The economics say otherwise. We built the platform to prove it.
